April Tree Walk: Historic Hill

Come along and witness some of Newport’s very best trees as we stroll with NTC Living Collections Manager Joe Verstandig.

This walking tour will explore the notable trees that dot the Historic Hill neighborhood, from the Newport Congregational Church, up through Touro Park and across Bellevue to the Newport Art Museum and Redwood library. We will look at several highly prized specimen trees, including multiple flowering cherries, magnolias, and oaks.

We will meet at the flowering cherry tree at 204 Spring Street in front of the Newport Congregational Church. Please note this is on the corner of Spring and Pelham Streets. Street parking is available in the vicinity.

Rain or shine, please dress appropriately for early spring weather.
