Newport’s urban forest needs around 120 new trees annually to replace those lost to damage, decay and disease.

We are always looking for new homes for trees. Learn how you can request a tree for your home or sponsor one to be planted in a park or streetscape below.

  • Community Tree Program (Spring) - Request a tree to be planted in front of your home, up to 20ft from the street/sidewalk.

    Free Fall Trees - Apply for a free tree to plant yourself, or with some help from us.

  • Commemorative Tree Program - Sponsor a new public tree planting to celebrate a special moment or memorialize a loved one.

  • Community Tree Program (Spring) - Request a tree to be planted along your street or up to 20ft into your yard.
