Volunteer

Help us plant and care for Newport’s shared urban forest.

Thanks to the generous support of The Champlin Foundation, our new F-150 pickup is ready to get volunteers into the field to water, mulch, and care for Newport’s public trees.

Volunteering with the Newport Tree Conservancy is a great way to get outdoors, learn about the trees in our city-wide arboretum, and contribute directly to the health and vibrance of our community.

Recently, a team of Citizens Bank employees and interns scheduled their own Tree Corps volunteer event. The team joined us for weeding and mulching of young trees in Miantonomi Park on a sunny summer day. NTC staff enjoyed teaching the group how to care for trees and why they're such an important part of our city's living landscape. We look forward to making this an annual event!
