Newport City Trees

Newport Tree Conservancy and the City of Newport have a truly unique public/private partnership.

 We work hand in hand with Newport’s Tree Warden and City Forester to ensure that the trees in our city are well cared for. NTC subsidizes EVERY tree planted in Newport's public spaces, parks and streets (no City budget funding is allocated for these trees). 

This means that we are responsible for funding trees every year to replace lost specimens as well as maintaining a healthy tree canopy though our planting programs.
